
Akira Tanaka
CEO & Representative Director
Akira became CEO of Veritas Holdings in April 2013. Since then, he has provided comprehensive management solutions to clients in real estate related industries. Prior to Veritas, he was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley (Tokyo), where he served as the leader of the M&A, MBO, and LBO finance team in charge of exiting CMBS (mortgage-backed securities). Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Akira worked at the Development Bank of Japan for 16 years. In addition to experience in several divisions at DBJ, he was Assistant Director of the International Dept., which included launching the Singapore Representative office, and over eight years as the Head of Corporate Strategy - where he launched the M&A Advisory business and engaged in the expansion of the M&A business at the bank.
He has an extensive network and deep knowledge in a wide range of industries - namely the real estate, railway, hospitality, retail distribution, and food and beverage industries.
He received a BA from the Keio University, Faculty of Economics, in 1991, and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1998.
Kenichi Yoshida
Executive Vice President
Kenichi served as the Representative Director of Veritas Holdings since its establishment in 2008. During this time he launched the business with a focus on investments and advisory in non-performing loans. He is now the Executive Vice President to support the CEO to rapidly expand the business portfolio. Beforehand, he was at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Bank (formerly Sanwa Bank) in charge of selling non-performing loans, selling upwards of 2 Trillion JPY, where he developed a close network with both domestic and foreign investors.
He received a BA from Hitotsubashi University in 1994.
